A L I C E ...through the ..LOOKING ..G L A S S..: Judge refuses to see evidence of child abuse
"Now this is what we covered yesterday: Very quickly, a case going back to November 2015 where three Hampshire county council social workers were found wanting by a judge; lying on oath; altering basically reports that were taken through as evidence; and withholding evidence from the court. So these were serious charges that the judge made in his judgment. The judge`s opinion was then overturned by Hampshire council working with an organisation looking after professional standards for social workers. And so our first point was that this is quite amazing that it doesn`t matter what a judge says in court: If you`re in the right organisation you simply overturn his judgement."

Independent Investigation - Gwynedd Council.
We have repeatedly asked for a copy of the report, who the adjudicating officer is in this matter and whether or not the Independent Investigator has upheld our 6 points of complaint.
The council have refused to answer us and when asked who we may contact in order to discuss our concerns in the interest of fairness and transparency, we received the following -
"If you wish to discuss your concerns regarding the Stage 2 investigation, you are welcome to contact the Ombudsman at any point."
We obviously wanted to discuss our concerns with council officers actually dealing with our complaint and not the Ombudsman - that may come later.
But as the council are aware it was the Ombudsman who first 'suggested' to me to raise the complaint way back in May.
The Ombudsman wrote -
" I have also informed the Council of your intention to submit a complaint and that I expect it to provide you with a full response to your concerns."
That was 7 MONTHS ago....

Y Cneifiwr: Carmarthenshire on the Taff
In the previous post we saw how difficult it was for Mrs Trisha Breckman
to negotiate an audience with Mark James CBE. When the meeting finally
did take place, it began with frosty glares but ended with smiles and
warm handshakes, and what Mrs Breckman understood to be a promise to
help her.
Apart from a very hostile letter from the council's solicitors some
months later, that was the last Mrs Breckman heard from Mr James until
he wrote to her last week threatening to take her to court.
In Mr James's defence, he is of course a very busy man. Aside from the
small matter of running Carmarthenshire County Council and trying to get
the Swansea Bay City Deal off the ground, he has responsibilities
elsewhere. At Century Wharf in Cardiff, for example..
