Police Infiltrate Socialist Party.

Press statement from the Socialist Party

The news revealed on the Guardian website and theBBC website today that ‘Carlo Neri’, as we knew him, infiltrated the Socialist Party from 2001 to 2006 on behalf of the Metropolitan Police’s Special Demonstration Squad (SDS) is unfortunately not surprising.
It is very far from being the first such revelation. In 2013 Peter Francis revealed that he had also infiltrated Militant Labour (now the Socialist Party) on behalf of the SDS. Francis also admitted infiltrating Youth Against Racism in Europe (YRE), a democratic campaigning organisation of young people, in which we participated.
Further evidence of repeated attempts to spy on socialists was revealed in the 2002 BBC documentary ‘True Spies’ which showed that the West Midlands policewere involved in spying on Socialist Party member Dave Nellist, at the time a Labour MP.
Lois Austin, Socialist Party member, previous chair of YRE and core participant in the Pitchford Inquiry stated:
“This is the latest in a litany of scandals showing that the police have used their resources to infiltrate democratic left-wing organisations. One of the key campaigns of YRE was for justice for Stephen Lawrence. It took 18 years for the police to convict any of his murderers, but we now find they were spending resources spying on anti-racist campaigners, including disgustingly trying to find ‘dirt’ on the bereaved Lawrence family.
“In the process they have caused untold distress to families whose dead children’s names were used by undercover officers, and to women who formed relationships with men who, unknown to them, were actually undercover police officers.
“There was no purpose to infiltrating YRE or Militant Labour. Far from being secretive we publicly advertised our events – the police could have read our leaflets and newspapers, or attended our public meetings, to find out what was going on.”
Dave Nellist added:
“As the revelations of police spying have mounted, the government has been forced to respond by setting up the Pitchford Inquiry to investigate police spying. This is welcome, but not enough.
“Lord Pitchford’s inquiry will need to get behind the attempts that will be made to disguise the reality of what has taken place. Undercover officers spying on a democratically-elected MP because he holds left-wing views cannot be justified. We demand the ‘undercover’ names of every police spy – that is the only way we can find out the full extent of what took place.
“We also demand that the Inquiry’s remit is extended to cover Scotland.
“But alongside Pitchford the labour and trade union movement should organise its own independent inquiry, made up of representatives from the trade union movement and the anti-racist and environmental protest groups that have suffered infiltration. Such an enquiry could go beyond investigating the role of the police, and also look at where the orders came from and the role of the government itself.
“We do not accept that infiltration, as the Metropolitan Police have implied, is a thing of the past. Surveillance of peaceful protesters has increased dramatically in the recent period. We demand to know what today’s ‘Carlo Neris’ are doing.
“Today a new generation are becoming involved in campaigns against austerity, racism and war. No amount of police infiltration will cut across this. But questions about whose interests the police act in, alongside demands for them to be made democratically accountable, will be an important aspect of current and future campaigns.”

Socialist Party

The Socialist Party is a campaigning, democratic organisation. Our members played a leading role on Liverpool Labour council in the 1980s when it defied Thatcher and refused to implement cuts, winning £60 million to spend on jobs and services in the city.
Socialist Party members were among the leaders of the struggle in the late 1980s and early 90s when 18 million people nationwide refused to pay the hated Poll Tax.
We fight against all attacks on the rights and living standards of working class people and stand for a socialist alternative.

George Osborne's Brother A Muslim ? Google Hide The Fact.

A news report about the conversion of George Osborne’s brother to Islam has been hidden by Google.
The article, published five years ago and detailing the conversion of Dr Adam Osborne to Islam in preparation for his marriage to a Bangladeshi-born plastic surgeon, was removed from search listings by the internet giant.
The original story, on a British newspaper website, remains online.
It revealed how Dr Osborne had been studying the Koran and given the name Mohammed for the ceremony.
Dr Osborne was later suspended from practice by the General Medical Council for six months after being found guilty “serious misconduct” when he falsified a prescription for drugs for an escort.
The removal from listings came after a request to Google from an unknown person.
It follows a highly controversial ‘right to be forgotten’ ruling in the European Court of Justice last month which gave people the right to have “inadequate”, “irrelevant” or “no longer relevant” search results removed from internet searches.
Critics have denounced the ruling as an assault on free speech that will allow criminals and disgraced politicians to hide their past from the public.
Today two links to Telegraph.co.uk about Dougie McDonald, a Scottish referee who admitted lying about a penalty decision in a Celtic game, were reinstated.
However, links to a Telegraph report on claims Robert Sayer, the former Law Society chief, faked complaints against his Asian deputy remain hidden. A hearing refused to refer the allegations to the police.
Over 70,000 requests have been made in total to the search engine asking for 250,000 links to information be removed from Google's European site branches. The search enginee is receiving 1,000 requests per day, each of which has to be evaluated by lawyers.
Individuals can only apply for the removal of a link to an article or picture, rather than the deletion of the information itself.
The message 'Some results may have been removed under data protection law in Europe' is displayed at the bottom of search results
The EU ruling was a result of a case brought by Spaniard Mario Costeja González, who requested the deletion of a link to a newspaper article detailing the repossession of his home after he hit financial difficulty in 1998.
Peter Barron, a Google spokesman, said the ruling was “not something we welcome, that we wanted.”
“But it is now the law and we’re obliged to comply with the law.” Asked whether he considered the law workable, he said: “It’s early days.”
It has also emerged that Google is also blurring the homes of famous people including Sir Paul McCartney, Tony Blair and disgraced banker Fred Goodwin on the Street View website, in response to homeowners’ requests.

Teenager avoids jail after raping girl aged five. #FFS

A teenager who subjected a five-year-old girl to a horrific rape attack has avoided jail in a ruling branded “pathetic” by the victim’s family.
At Leicester Crown Court the 17-year-old from Burbage was given a two year youth rehabilitation order with a requirement to attend the sex offender programme, a victim surcharge of £15, to register on the sex offenders register for two and half years and placed on the barring list.
The victim’s mother has slammed what she regards as the leniency of the punishment while her daughter continues to suffer.
She said: “This whole thing has ripped our family apart – when I heard the sentence being handed down I felt sick. The trauma has been unbearable. My daughter is a different girl now and will have to live with this forever. It is unacceptable that Leicester Crown Court, the very place that this young girl was relying on to help get her justice, has failed her so outrageously. We say that the sentence must be appropriate and in accordance with the severity of the crime.”
The sentencing took place on Friday November 6 after the teenager had admitted at a hearing in September that he had committed the serious sexual assault on the girl.
The attack occurred in December 2014 when the boy was 16 and the pair were playing on a computer console in his bedroom. He began kissing the girl and took her clothes off before raping her. He told her it was their secret.
In severe pain after the ordeal, the girl revealed all to her mum who contacted the police.
She said: “My daughter has since suffered dreadful emotional distress and has undergone counselling but sadly still suffers and always will. The offender is still walking the streets and I believe he is an extreme danger to any child who may come across him.”
A campaign has been launched by the victim’s mother to try and raise funds to bring the teenager back to court while a friend has set up an online petition to try and get the sentence reviewed.

CNN (W)anchors: Muslims cannot 'shirk' responsibility for Paris attacks

Do Some Have More Freedom Of Speech Than Others ?

The hate and bile against #Muslims and #Islam have increased since the killings in #France
Social media is awash with #Bigots and #Racists spewing their hate.
When challenged they cry it is their right under freedom of speech.
And it is on this issue I have become confused.
When bloggers, including myself, challenge big business and politicians we are shut down and orders such as CPN (community protection orders - asbo's) and even criminal charges are brought.
Why can we not name and shame #Corrupt officials and those in authority ?
Why is it ok to attack people because of their religion but not publicise the errors and law breaking of social services, for example ?
It appears there is one law for hate and bile and another for legitimate community concerns.
Social workers allow no questions, no challenge  - and remove names of individuals when reported on the web ?
It is the same with other local government officials - health boards - police - the media etc etc..
The web is being cleansed of dissent leaving behind just the #Haters
The hypocrisy is sickening.

Young Conservative Activist Bullied To Suicide ?

THE father of a Tory activist who killed himself after an alleged bullying campaign by more senior party members fears an internal inquiry into his death will result only in a cover-up.
Ray Johnson, whose 21-year-old son Elliott was found on the tracks at a Bedfordshire railway station in September, urged Conservative chairman Lord Feldman yesterday to send collected information to the police.
In a letter made public by the political web site The Blue Guerrilla, Mr Johnson said he was “concerned” about the internal investigation led by Prime Minister David Cameron’s fellow old Etonian Edward Legard.
The inquiry, Mr Johnson wrote, “can in no way be recognised as independent or free from party interference.
“I have no doubt that Mr Legard has the ability to conduct such inquiries, however, his appointment will raise issues of lack of independence due to his close personal connections within the party, leading to claims of complicity to cover up the issues of endemic bullying, harassment and intimidation that appears to be seen as acceptable within the party.”
At the core of the allegations lies former parliamentary candidate Mark Clarke, who is said to have “made life difficult” for Elliott.
Mr Clarke, who ran the Tory general election campaign drive RoadTrip, was named in a note left behind by Elliott before his suicide.
Mr Johnson accused the party of treating younger activists as “fodder in pursuit of electoral victory.”
And he said that Mr Clarke’s reappointment to lead RoadTrip 2020 despite the investigation showed that he had Tory friends “at a higher level.”
In his letter to Lord Feldman, Mr Johnson added that he was “shocked” to find out that other young Conservatives had been too afraid to come out with their own stories of abuse.
“That this is the case is a damning indictment against the Conservative Party, which blatantly failed in its clear ‘duty of care’ towards young people,” he wrote.
“The party’s belated attempt at an internal inquiry is too little, too late. The correct process would be to now hand the investigation and all evidence over to proper authorities, the Metropolitan Police, for a full criminal inquiry.”
Mr Clarke has denied any improper behaviour towards Mr Johnson or others.

Eleanor Leahy's Fight For Answers For Her Son.

Eleanor Leahy gave birth to baby Nathan on  the 12th of January 2003 in Erinville. At a tiny 725g, Nathan was thought unlikely to survive.  He was, however, a fighter and he clung with all his strength to life and did indeed survive.  Sadly, despite this achievement, the story is no fairytale.  His mother has spent years looking for answers.

Being born so premature, disability was a promise from birth.  A kind of 'best case' scenario.  Eleanor had suffered for many years from endometriosis but this was not diagnosed.  Contraceptives, changes to her cycle, the affects of pills, and depression all meant that it was impossible to manage.  She asked to be sterilised to avoid a situation like this happening but that was not allowed.  She could not decide for her own body. A failure to treat the endometriosis led to complications and problems with any pregnancy.

Now she found herself staring at her third premature son as he fought for his life.  She was filled with awe at his efforts; knowing, as only a mother can, all he would suffer. At 12 days old, Nathan's condition began to deteriorate; the tubes that ran through his left leg began to discolour the leg.  'I was informed that it was fine, that he was just bruised from being handled as he was so small.  However the next evening, he was much worse.  It was around eight in the evening and I was with his father.  We asked to see a doctor as Nathan was in obvious pain and his foot and leg were completely black. We would wait two more hours, after which, I simply had to return home to relieve the sitter.  The nurse informed us that the doctor was busy and he would come as soon as he could.  She added that there was nothing to worry about, that it was normal.  We reluctantly left for home.'

She was extremely worried that night but there were no doctors to assess her son. Nobody to put her mind at ease and nobody coming to ascertain the level of the problem.  The next day brought a dramatic change. 'The next morning I returned to Nathan to find him surrounded by medical staff.  I was told that the doctor had gotten there at about one in the morning; he had looked at the leg and finally decided to remove the line.  However Nathan was going to lose his foot, it had died and would now fall off.  Fear and nausea rushed over me.  I found their clinical, abrupt attitude unbearable. For the first time in my life, I understood how people can be pushed to draw blood from another human being.'

The frustration, the questions and doubts remained.  The flow of information was poor with details, only given after decisions had been made. 'I had spent the day prior expressing my concerns to staff, all the while being told that it was fine, even though during the night prior, his leg was up in the air, jerking and completely black and blue.  As the two doctors updated me and my partner and I began to get upset and asked questions, they quickly left, making the final remark that 'this was the least of our worries', almost to say the child would probably die anyway.  I must have stood motionless in that spot for over an hour, staring at my tiny, tubed and badly bruised baby.'
Eleanor tries to understand the actions.  She has great praise for the nursing staff, one of whom approached her later that day. 'She partially apologized for the doctors, not for what they had said but their clinical manner.  I think, and I’m sure this nurse would agree, that they talk and behave in such a way so as to not get attached, to keep their minds firmly on the job. Yet in all I have experienced over the years, this approach is something I could never get used to. I find it has always been more positively productive when a doctor takes a soft, honest, human approach - a rare thing to find.'

Nathan had endured so much and he would have to travel to Dublin for both hernia and heart surgeries and had tested positive for M.R.S.A.  It is here that some unanswered questions remain in this case.  A freedom of information request produced two sets of medical notes from the same time period that do not tally with each other.  There are also two versions of the 'Problem List', one describing the discolouration of the foot and one making no mention.  Eleanor says she was told that sometimes notes are written 'after the event' but this alone seems a strange procedure.

Professor Andras Fogarasi, head of neurology in Bethesda Hospital in Budapest, reviewed the case and also felt there were questions to answer.  Nathan was treated initially for Chlamydia with no real explanation as to why this was done.  After he tested negative for this, the medication was stopped.  However, the swab test was taken a full 6 days before the result was found and medication stopped.

Prof. Fogarasi was also concerned that amid all Nathan's problems and his fight for survival, he tested positive for MRSA and yet he was not isolated.  Most importantly, Eleanor was never informed of the MRSA infection until she found this out through her search for answers.  Any such complication should be brought to a parent's attention immediately according to Prof. Fogarasi.

The role MRSA may have played in this case remains an unanswered question, as is the fact that two sets of notes exist with differing information.  For Eleanor, the search goes on.  Years of wading through files produces only tiny steps forward. Letters to successive Ministers, to the Taoiseach and appeals to so many to help, have been met with red tape, procedural wrangles and years of delay. She has been, in her own view, denied all manner of rights  She has been told to move on and that no more answers can be given.  But she can't, what parent could?

Pig Sucks Off British Prime Minister.

DAVID CAMERON BIOGRAPHY CLAIMS U.K. PM PUT A ‘PRIVATE PART OF HIS ANATOMY’ IN A DEAD PIG
DON CROTHERS
David Cameron, leader of the U.K.’s Conservative party and Prime Minister of the United Kingdom since 2010, has faced a lot of controversy over his political career. Among other rivalries, Cameron has had an ongoing feud with fellow Tory Lord Michael Ashcroft.
Now, the Daily Mail is reporting that Lord Ashcroft, in collaboration with journalist Isabel Oakeshott, has written a biography of David Cameron which makes some startling allegations – particularly, that The Right Honourable Prime Minister David Cameron once placed a “private part of his anatomy” in the mouth of a dead pig, as part of an initiation rite at Oxford University.
The book, titled Call Me Dave (an obvious and rather crass play on Caitlyn Jenner’s Call Me Caitlyn documentary) prominently features the story of the alleged dead pig initiation rite, indicating that it was recounted to the authors by an unidentified contemporary of Cameron’s who went on to become an MP, according to the Daily Star.
The biography focuses a lot on Cameron’s time at Oxford; entering the prestigious school in the wake of the popular British TV series Brideshead Revisited. The series featured the handsome Lord Sebastian Flyte, and Oxford peers suggest that David Cameron may have modeled his university persona after the character of Flyte and the decadent lifestyle of the Brideshead characters. James Delingpole, an Oxford friend of Cameron, recounts his experiences.
“There was a division at Oxford between those of us who wanted to live the Brideshead lifestyle — to ape it — and the people wearing donkey jackets who were in support of the miners.”
“The atmosphere among those of us who wanted to live the Brideshead life was really quite pleasant. There were cocktail parties in the Master’s Garden… and we could all play at being Sebastian Flyte.”
According to Call Me David, however, Cameron took things a lot further, joining the infamous Piers Gaveston Society, known for specializing in bizarre rituals, sexual excess, and illegal drugs.
Call Me David alleges, through their MP source, that Cameron took part one night in a Piers Gaveston initiation ritual involving a dead pig. The gist of the alleged ritual, without going into too much detail, is that the head of a dead pig was sat on the lap of a Piers Gaveston member, and that the initiate was required to place a “private part of his anatomy” into the pig’s mouth.
The source allegedly repeated these allegations to Call Me David‘s authors on multiple occasions, and further alleged that he had seen photographic evidence of them. He gave the dimensions of the photograph and provided the name of the individual who he claimed currently holds the photograph.
Unsurprisingly, when the authors contacted the supposed holder of the photograph, they received no response.
Call Me David goes on to indicate that Cameron went on to join the even more notorious Bullingdon Club, another unofficial Oxford dining society that more closely resembles a real-world version of Animal House, albeit absolutely all-male, all-rich and all-high-society. The Bullingdon club is known for its “boisterous rituals,” which include frequent vandalism of restaurants and college rooms. Oxford University refuses to officially acknowledge or sanction the Bullingdon Club, in spite of the general high profile of its members, David Cameron and London mayor Boris Johnson among them.
In closing, bear in mind; Call Me David is an unofficial biography written by one of David Cameron’s long-time political rivals and based heavily on undocumented evidence. It is to be taken with a grain of salt. But if social media is any indication, whatever the truth may be, the British PM is going to wake up with egg on his face in the morning. Possibly with a side of sausage and bacon.
