Collective Amnesia And Surrey Police.

It is now disclosed that Milly Dowler's phone was known to have been hacked in 2002.

The nonIPCC investigated why Surrey Police knew but took no action.

Surrey's Deputy Chief Constable, Craig Denholm, and temporary Superintendent, Maria Woodall, were cleared of 'gross misconduct' but 'issued with words of advice(!?)' and 'management action(!?)' was taken.

The nIPCC concluded that neither officer had a case to answer for gross misconduct.

Milly Dowler, was killed by Levi Bellfield, a former bouncer, car clamper and INFORMANT (grass) for Surrey Police, in 2002.

The nIPCC said 'the unhealthy relationship between the police and the media' may have explained the lack of action taken.

The nIPCC also stated "former senior officers, in particular, appear to have been afflicted by a form of 'collective amnesia' in relation to the events of 2002".

The nIPCC call it 'collective amnesia'.
