Sshh - Abuse In Telford.

Re the outcry over the child abuse scandal in #Telford and those calling for an Independent Inquiry into those who failed the children....

Gwynedd Council - who were closed down after they failed the county's children in their own sexual abuse scandal of the 90's - have twice sanitised a recent 'Independent Report' into their Social Services department.

The abuse of children in Gwynedd and Clywd was only allowed to continue by those in authority maintaining a 'wall of silence' for decades.
Gwynedd Council, for whatever reason, chose to turn a blind eye and the whistleblower, Alison Davies - was actually sacked by the council for raising concerns.

It has become apparent that a 'wall of silence' still remains in Gwynedd with no-one willing or able to confront unprofessional and bad behaviour by senior managers within the council.
Sshh no criticism allowed.

The abuse of children in Telford began just after the creation of the New Town in the early 70's.

Just as in North Wales, the authorities at the then Wrekin Council and the local Police turned a blind eye. In fact, the local CID used to hunt down and return those 'children in care' who had fled from the abuse they were no doubt suffering in the council run homes in Wellington.
Sshh.

The authorities in North Wales sat on the Jillings Report into the abuse of children for 20 years - on the orders of the council's insurers - now Zurich International.

There was an Asian gang operating in Telford in the 70's as were White Gangs. There were also huge problems with #Unemployment #Racism and #Heroin. Too many unexplained deaths and mysterious 'suicides'.

The old Wrekin Council have questions to answer along with the now defunct Telford Youth Council, local Churches and the Police.

An Independent Inquiry into the abuse of children in Telford will fail just as in North Wales, Rotherham, Islington etc etc. No-one will be held to account.

An Independent Inquiry is too easily sanitised and the truth covered up - a Public Inquiry would stand a better chance at getting to the truth and the abusers and those who profited from the abuse punished.

But be in no doubt....the abuse of children and vulnerable people continues.
Sshh.....

Sex Offenders Living In Wales Increases.

The number of sex offenders living in north and mid Wales has risen over the last year.
(I wonder if you are on the list, Melfyn ?)
There are now 1,147 sex offenders living in the area - an increase of 317.
The total for North Wales this year was 722 - up 54 on last year. There were no year on year comparison figures for Dyfed Powys.
In North Wales, the highest number of registered sex offenders live in Wrexham at 141, followed by Gwynedd at 139, Conwy 138, Denbighshire 128, Flintshire 111 and Anglesey 85.
The figures were supplied by North Wales and Dyfed-Powys Police in a Freedom of Information request by the Daily Post.
A North Wales Police spokesman said: “There may be some registered sex offenders that lived in North Wales, but have since moved away to other force areas.”
Last year North Wales Police said they had concerns about “releasing details of actual towns/villages due to the geographical area and small numbers”.
A spokesman said: “If any such information was disclosed, it would make supervision more difficult and could lead to a rise in re-offending.”
It could also lead to offenders going “underground”, making it difficult for the authorities to trace and monitor them.
In North Wales, the Circles of Support and Accountablility (COSA) project works with sex offenders to “minimise alienation, support reintegration and so prevent sexual reoffending.”
Another all-Wales organisation, Stop it Now! helps protect children and young people from sexual abuse by working with parents and others “through awareness raising and education.”
Hundreds of paedophiles have been identified since the introduction of “Sarah’s Law” in 2011. Thousands of requests for information were made in England, Scotland and Wales; many resulted in a paedophile being revealed.
The disclosure scheme was named after eight-year-old victim Sarah Payne.
It means a parent or guardian can ask police if a person who has contact with children is a child sex offender.
If the individual has convictions for sexual offences against children or poses a risk of causing harm, the police can choose to disclose this information to the parent, carer or guardian.
Jon Brown, NSPCC lead on tackling sexual abuse, said: “While Sarah’s Law is obviously working well and protecting some children, we know there are many more still at risk.
“It’s important to remember that the vast majority of child abuse is committed by someone known to the child.”

Forget McAlpine.

The furore over the BBC and Newsnight's 'naming' of Lord McAlpine in the North Wales abuse scandal, continues to divert attention from the real issue. In the original Waterhouse Inquiry, Steve Messham said that the McAlpine who abused him was dead - this was in 1991. McAlpine had a cousin, 'Jimmie' who lved in Chester and died during the mid 80's. This is the McAlpine, Messham was referring to. The BBC has come under intense scrutiny and attacks for publicising a heinous scandal that, in my opinion, has not been fully investigated. And the BBC ? It now transpires that Matthew Freud, son in law of Rupert Murdoch, is now advising the temporary Director General on News. A Murdoch with his hands on the reins of the BBC. A near bloodless coup. It beggars belief.

Anne Clywd, MP Asks For Jillings Report.

In a question to Commons leader Andrew Lansley, Anne Clwyd MP said: "Can I ask that the Jillings (North Wales Abuse) report be published? I saw it. I wasn't supposed to see it. It was shown to me. I saw it at the time. It was subsequently pulped by the then Clywd county council because they were afraid of the attitudes of the insurers. I would say please get the Jillings report published because it shows buggery, rape, bestiality, violent assaults and torture." If I had spoken to the people, and created the report, I would have been shouting it from the rooftops. (maybe thats just me?)
