‘No culprits’ over Rotherham child abuse files stolen from council office.

First reported by the Yorkshire Post.

Files relating to a Home Office researcher’s attempts to investigate street grooming of children in the town by gangs of paedophiles were stolen from a locked council office – but no culprits can be identified, investigators have concluded.

An investigation was ordered into the theft of files after evidence about the incident was given to MPs by the researcher in 2014 in which she said an unknown individual had gained access to her office in the Risky Business youth project and removed all the data relating to her work with the Home Office in 2002.

Her computer records were also “impaired” in the incident.

The report found: “There is a considerable amount of circumstantial evidence to support an assertion that an incident occurred involving the removal of files and/or impairment of computer records belonging to the former researcher.

“On the basis of our investigation and taking into account the circumstantial evidence available, our conclusion is that on the balance of probability it is likely files were removed from the Risky Business Office and computer records impaired.”

But the report added: “We have no information about who might have been the culprit(s), if files were removed and/or computer records impaired. We have found no evidence that would suggest any council officers referred to in this report were involved in the alleged incident.

“The work of Risky Business was gaining profile in 2002 and with what is known now about the exploitation of children, there might well have been strong motivation for individuals to prevent the information held in Risky Business files from being reported to statutory agencies.”

The report said the allegation had been first raised in 2002 as part of a grievance procedure but the grievance was withdrawn and the allegation not followed up.

Council officers interviewed as part of the new investigation “denied any knowledge of the alleged incident”.

The report added: “The council missed an opportunity to confirm at the time whether any removal of documents and/or impairment of computer files had occurred or not. In view of the significance of the matter, the council’s procedures should have led the council to look at the matter outside of the grievance.

Not least, there should have been recognition of the potential loss of data, reportable under the Data Protection Act.”

Viewers Of Child Porn Will Not Be Charged.

With the statement of Keith Bristow ,head of the national crime agency, that many people who download images of child porn will not face charges, goes all chance of justice for the victims.
Bristow, in charge of the NCA since October, has seen the evidence against thousands of people - many thousands.
He has reached the same conclusion as the rest of us that know the numbers - there are too many to be dealt with immediately.
The government, committed to defending their own wealthy nonce friends will not allow the resources to deal with this issue.
They will/are/have dithered, delayed, lied about the #CSAinquiry ,cut the number of Police Officers to the bone and have still given nothing to support the victims ie #Rotherham etc etc etc.
Nothing has changed. The abuse for thousands continues.
OUR government is failing us - badly.
What next ?

Rotherham Council Rotten To The Core.

Key reports detailing child sexual exploitation have 'disappeared' from the archives, the outgoing chief executive of Rotherham Council tells MPs.
Martin Kimber said he had not seen a full copy of a 2002 report, had never seen a 2003 report and only saw a 2006 report on Sunday.
A report published earlier this month found at least 1,400 children were abused in the town from 1997-2013.
The council was heavily criticised by Professor Alexis Jay.
In her report, Professor Jay said: "Further stark evidence came in 2002, 2003 and 2006 with three reports known to the police and the council, which could not have been clearer in their description of the situation in Rotherham."
Addressing MPs, Mr Kimber said he did not know whether the archives had been destroyed, but he told the Local Government Committee: "They are not within the council's archives."
Director of children's services Joyce Thacker told MPs the first two reports did not appear to have been referred to in any existing council minutes.
Asked whether there had been a "deliberate attempt to suppress information", she said she could not answer.
Meanwhile, Rotherham council announced plans to dissolve the cabinet and invest £120,000 in counselling services for victims of child sexual exploitation.
Deputy leader Paul Lakin said the money would come from cutting two cabinet posts and banning overseas travel by members.
Mr Lakin said he would begin choosing a new cabinet later.
The Labour councillor also announced he had asked the Local Government Association to establish an "independently-chaired improvement board".

Arrest these fuckers.

Chief Constable, David Crompton. Tell Us All.

I have watched the Chief Constable of South Yorkshire Police, David Crompton, struggle with the 'short-comings' of the Police under his command.
Crompton has had to apologise for the police actions regarding Cliff Richard, Rotherham, etc.
He has been forced to say sorry to the general public and the Home Affairs Committee.
Crompton will be forced to apologise again to the committee after giving false information.
I urge David Crompton to stop listening to his advisers.
They are digging a deeper hole for you to fall into.
Come clean and give up the bad policemen in your force.
Tell us who the bad people are in the community.
You know so much more than you feel you can report.
You will no doubt fall on your sword, resign, take full pension and live a happy life.
For thousands of people in the area that is not an option.
Be brave, Mr Compton and let the truth out.
You can begin the healing process for an entire area.
You will be respected as a good officer and a brave man.
Otherwise the cover-up will just make you look incompetent and even a little guilty.

The Child Abuse Report In Rotherham.

We need to look at #Rotherham council, social services and #SouthYorkshirePolice but media would rather we focus on 'muslim sex gangs' alone.
This could only have gone on for so long with either the support or indifference of the Council leaders, Social Services and the Police.
Indifference to the problem I can understand.
I don't like it but I can understand - and heads should roll.
Support ? Well - there are kickbacks to this type of thing.
Money, sex and power are three things to come to mind.
I don't like this either - and heads should roll.
Councils and social services have 'pimped' out the children in their 'care(!)' in other areas.
I believe that the same thing has happened in Rotherham.
#CSAinquiry NOW.
I accuse the Police and Council leaders of being complicit in these crimes.
#ShaunWright and #RogerStone have questions to answer.
In Court !
